There has been some confusion about a championship match set for tonight’s WWE NXT potentially being removed from the show.
It had been announced that Santos Escobar would be defending the NXT Cruiserweight Title against Curt Stallion, but it is no longer being promoted on WWE’s website.
Having said that, Curt Stallion did post the following tweet earlier today:
People used to think I was crazy for the amount of effort I put into my career and yet, here we are. See ya out there, Santi.
It was actually way back at the start of November that Stallion won a five-way match on 205 Live to earn a title shot, but he still hasn’t had it until now.
Basically, the status of the match seems to be uncertain, but we’ll keep you updated and will of course have live coverage of the show tonight here on the site.
Still on WWE’s website being advertised for tonight is Finn Balor & Kyle O’Reilly vs Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan.
