Two championship match for next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FOX were made official during tonight’s edition of the show.
Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley and Sasha Banks opened the show, gloating about having all the gold… even though Banks isn’t actually the Raw Women’s Champion.
They were cut off by Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss, with Cross requesting a rematch against Bayley after losing to her for the SmackDown Women’s Title at Extreme Rules.
Bayley said that she’d allow it if Cross had a match against Bliss, with the winner getting to challenge her next week.
Cross won that match with a rollup so it’ll be Bayley vs Cross for the SmackDown Women’s Championship next Friday.
This means another rematch from Extreme Rules on top of Monday’s Asuka vs Sasha Banks match on Raw.
Later on in the show, there was a four-way match to determine who would challenge AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Title next week between Drew Gulak, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado and Shorty G.
Metalik picked up the win in that one by pinning G, so it’ll be Styles defending against Metalik next week.
