AEW President Tony Khan has now commented on Jade Cargill, following the announcement that she has officially joined WWE.
WWE has confirmed that Cargill has signed a multi-year deal with the company.
Per an official statement shared to WWE.com, Cargill will begin training at the Performance Center in Orlando today (September 26).
Cargill notably made a name for herself in AEW, making her wrestling debut on Dynamite in March 2021, before amassing a lengthy undefeated streak and reign as TBS Champion.
During Tuesday’s (September 26) pre-AEW WrestleDream media call, Tony Khan noted that Jade is always welcome in AEW.
Wishing Cargill nothing but the best for the future, Khan said:
“I have only positive things to say about Jade, she’s always welcome here.
“She had a great run with us, and has a great career in front of her. Wishing her nothing but the best for the future.”
Cargill’s AEW contract expired on September 15, and she was removed from the AEW roster page on September 18 – the same day PWInsider reported she was in Orlando for WWE.
Her most recent match saw her unsuccessfully challenge for Kris Statlander’s TBS Title on the September 15 edition of AEW Rampage.
Cargill has now broken her silence on her move to WWE, which you can read more about right here.
