Top Star Says AEW “Absolutely” Doesn’t Need To Sign Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is technically not under WWE contract right now after his current deal expired in April, and while there is an expectation that he’ll re-sign with the company, this hasn’t stopped some fans fantasy booking Brock Lesnar in matches for AEW.

During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, AEW star Miro opened up about the current situation with Brock Lesnar. He noted that while Brock would be a good signing, he isn’t someone that AEW needs:

“I mean, Brock is great. Brock, whatever he does, he’s an entity, right? He’s the show himself; he can be his own show himself. Would we benefit from it? I absolutely think we would. Do we need him? Absolutely not.”

Dave Meltzer has previously stated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while Brock lesnar will likely re-sign with WWE, he’s expected to use AEW as leverage to get a better deal. You can read more about that story by clicking here.

During the call with the media ahead of All Out last month, Tony khan was asked about the possibility of AEW making a move to sign Brock Lesnar. You can find out exactly what he said by also clicking here.
