Two former WWE stars appeared on tonight’s AEW Dynamite with a repackaged look and one of the pair called out a top star.
While real-life husband and wife Johnny TV (fka John Morrison) and Taya Valkyrie have been signed to AEW for quite some time, their appearances have been entirely apart from one another.
However on tonight’s AEW Dynamite that changed as the duo appeared in matching faux fur coats for a backstage segment.
Taking to Twitter to note that the pair appeared on television together for the first time since 2019 on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, Valkyrie was ready to ‘bring on the mayhem’.
In the segment she challenged Deonna Purrazzo to an upcoming match as Purrazzo continues feuding with AEW Women’s World Champion, Toni Storm.
Storm and Purrazzo for their part had an interview segment with Renee Paquette in front the live crowd that hilariously kept the visual gimmick throughout the interview.
With Toni Storm (with butler Luther and Mariah May behind her) appearing in only black and white while Deonna Purrazzo and Renee Paquette continued to appear in full color on the right of the screen, the old Hollywood glamour only disappeared when the women started to actually tangle.
Purrazzo chased off May and Storm, the latter leaving behind the AEW Women’s World Championship.
After delivering a sizeable kick to Luther’s face, Purrazzo would end the segment holding the title and standing tall.
