Two Major Matches Announced For September 15 WWE SmackDown WWE

Two major matches has been announced for the September 15 edition of WWE SmackDown.

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown will see the Grayson Waller Effect with special guest John Cena and LA Knight facing The Miz in a Payback rematch.

However, there is a lot more that fans will witness on tonight’s broadcast from Denver, Colorado.

On Friday afternoon, the company announced that The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor will face AJ Styles in a battle of former Bullet Club members.

This follows The Judgment Day helping The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa with Styles at the end of last week’s September 8 episode. WWE released the following statement on the match on their website:

The Phenomenal AJ Styles will hit the ring against one-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions and his longtime foe, Finn Bálor.

The Judgment Day has a stranglehold on WWE with all four members holding a WWE Title, and the group warfare happening at SmackDown has continuously irked Styles.

The two Superstars will face off live tonight on FOX at 8/7 C as The Phenomenal One looks to restore order on the blue brand while Bálor wants chaos to reign.

Also, Asuka will go one-on-one with former rival and Damage CTRL member Bayley.

On the September 8 edition of SmackDown, Asuka returned to cost Damage CTRL their tag team match against Shotzi and Charlotte Flair. Later in the show, it was announced that IYO SKY will defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Asuka on the September 22 episode.

WrestleTalk will provide further news and notes from tonight’s WWE SmackDown when they become available.
