Vince McMahon Falls Out Of Forbes 400 Richest Americans List

WWE majority owner Vince McMahon has fallen out of the Forbes 400 richest Americans list for 2020 after making the cut for 2019.

Forbes listed McMahon’s net worth at $1.8 billion, which was below the $2.1 billion he would have needed to make it onto the list.

Here’s what Forbes wrote about Vince McMahon not making the cut:

The pandemic struck a blow to the live wrestling events put on by World Wrestling Entertainment, where McMahon is chief executive and chairman. Ticket and merchandise sales took a hit and shares fell 31% from early January through late July. McMahon also lost some $200 million on the XFL, his NFL competitor. It was forced to cancel its season in March and filed for bankruptcy shortly thereafter. A group including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson agreed to buy the league in August for a reported $15 million.

AEW owner Shahid Khan – father of the promotion’s president and CEO Tony Khan – did make the list with a net worth of $7.8 billion.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos came in at the top of the Forbes 400 with a net worth of $179 billion, which is a bit mental isn’t it really.
