It is often a mystery what Vince McMahon likes and doesn’t like. However, when he likes someone it is usually a pretty good sign for their career. Such might be the case for Angel Garza.
TalkSPORT is currently reporting that McMahon thinks Garza could be the next Eddie Guerrero. This is high praise as Guerrero remains one of the most popular and acclaimed stars in WWE history. WWE has been searching for a Latin superstar to take the place of Rey Mysterio for years and it seems Garza is the latest to be tasked with that role.
Garza obviously shares the same Mexican heritage as Guerrero but the comparisons have gone deeper than that. Angel Garza has also shown similar levels of charisma to Guerrero as well as a persona reminiscent of Latino Heat.
Garza has been gaining popularity since jumping to the forefront of NXT in December. He became NXT Cruiserweight Champion before being brought up to the main roster in February. He immediately joined Zelina Vega’s stable and some have felt he has surpassed Andrade as the star of the group.
Big things could be on the horizon for Garza if he remains one of McMahon’s favourites.
