WALTER Names Dream Opponents From WWE Main Roster

NXT United Kingdom Champion WALTER has been making more appearances on the US NXT show in recent weeks, and naturally from that point, talk of a potential future main roster call-up follow.

WALTER recently spoke with Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes, where he gave his thoughts on potentially moving up to Raw or SmackDown. He said:

“I think there are a lot of possibilities there, I think the wrestling style I have would really fit on main roster. Also there would be a lot of great opponents, a lot of great matches. I think the best wrestling talent is, obviously, on Raw and SmackDown, so many fantastic wrestlers who are in the sport since decades, sometimes two decades. Obviously it would be intriguing, but we will see what the future brings when it comes to that, that’s the one side of it. Making a big decision like that, you’ve got to take a lot of things into consideration. But that’s why I said I don’t focus on it right now, I focus on what I am right now, I’m the NXT UK Champion right now, I think that’s a great chance for me to show everybody what I’m about, and what European wrestling is about, and that I take it really serious and that’s what I really want to focus on, and all of that speculation or fantasise about my future, I’ll leave that for later.”

WALTER was then asked what his dream matches would be on the main roster, to which he said:

“Yeah, like, there’s that Finn Balor match that I still really want to do, and obviously Cesaro is always the big match I want to have if I go up to main roster.”

WALTER will be in action at this Sunday’s NXT Takeover 36 show, where he defends his NXT United Kingdom Championship against Ilja Dragunov.

WALTER made a one-off appearance on the WWE main roster at Survivor Series in 2019, where he was the first man eliminated from the 5 vs 5 vs 5 elimination match. WALTER recently spoke about that moment, saying he isn’t bitter about it.
