I know it’s all done as safely as possible but sometimes you just have to admire how much pain these people are able to withstand week in, week out.

One of my wisdom teeth is currently very sore, and I’m pretty sure I’d pull out of all wrestling events for the rest of the year, but then I’m not Joey Janela.

In a match that you will undoubtedly see on the next edition of AEW: Dark, Kenny Omega took on Joey Janela in an unsanctioned match, and it’s fair to say that the two men took the lack of rules seriously.

As you know, Kenny Omega’s finisher is the one-winged angel, and only one man in history has ever kicked out of it, and it isn’t Joey Janela.

And there’s a very good reason for that. Omega decided to hit the move through a steel chair, and that chair did not give way.

I have to go to my chiropractor after watching that, so I don’t even want to know how uncomfortable Janela must be right now.

I am very much looking forward to seeing the match that led up to this spot next week.
