It’s the one night a year where Raw and SmackDown go head to head in direct competition! WWE Survivor Series is set to air live on November 21… but you wouldn’t know it by watching WWE TV.
WWE has announced that this year’s Survivor Series will indeed be brand vs brand once again, but has barely hyped up any of the matches at all, and we now know why.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has not been advertising matches for Survivor Series, due to heavily pushing the Crown Jewel show last month.
WWE is set to get over the new feuds and rosters, as well as letting the new rosters settle in on TV before pushing the big battle of the brands show.
I was told the mentality behind not having promoted it at all is that they felt they pushed Crown Jewel as hard as they could and the most important thing now is to get over new feuds with the new rosters and let the new rosters settle in on television, and then push Survivor Series the final weeks.
