Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifier ANNOUNCED For SmackDown Live

Earlier today, WWE announced via Twitter that despite losing in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank qualifier this past Tuesday, Sonya Deville will get the chance to qualify again as she takes on Naomi this coming Tuesday on SmackDown Live.

On the May 15th edition of SmackDown Live, which emanated from London, England, Deville competed in a Triple Threat match for the chance to compete in the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on June 17th.

Becky Lynch won that encounter, which also included Deville’s former Absolution teammate, Mandy Rose, who had defeated the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ a week prior.

Deville will take on Naomi, who hasn’t been featured on SmackDown Live, excluding pre-recorded promos, since April 24th, where she found herself caught up in real-life husband Jimmy Uso’s program, which involved him and twin brother Jey chasing the Bludgeon Brothers’ WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Despite her recent absence, Naomi did win the Women’s Battle Royal on the WrestleMania 34 Kickoff Show in early April, wherein she last eliminated Bayley to win the over-the-top-rope battle.

There are two other qualifying matches that have already been confirmed to be taking place this coming Tuesday, in Billie Kay vs. Lana for the women’s edition and Samoa Joe vs. Big Cass for the final spot in the men’s match.

It was announced yesterday that the New Day will reveal which member of the trio will compete in the men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match in June, on next week’s edition of ‘Miz TV’. The New Day defeated the Bar this past Tuesday in order for one member to qualify.
