AEW has not been shy about utilising legends of the ring on its inaugural shows and that mentality is set to continue at All Out.
Dustin Rhodes was involved in one of the feature matches at Double Or Nothing, Aja Kong is in a key programme with Awesome Kong and Bret Hart was used to unveil the AEW World Championship.
Now, Four Horseman Tully Blanchard has joined the AEW ranks, as revealed on YouTube show Road To Double Or Nothing.
Blanchard will be managing Shawn Spears going forwards, including at August 31 pay-per-view All Out in Chicago where Spears takes on Cody Rhodes.
Blanchard has a long history with the Rhodes family, having been involved in the classic Four Horseman vs. Dusty Rhodes rivalry in the NWA back in the 1980s.
With Horseman Arn Anderson also working for AEW, could we see ‘The Enforcer’ also get involved in the rivalry? Perhaps aligning himself with Spears and former Brain Busters tag partner Blanchard?
Or perhaps Anderson will stand in the corner of Cody for the match?
This is merely speculation at this point as far as Anderson is concerned but it would certainly make a lot of sense for him to be included in the programme.
One also has to wonder whether Blanchard joining the AEW ranks is a play to convince his daughter Tessa Blanchard – one of the most sought-after women in wrestling – to join the promotion when her Impact contract expires.
