Wrestling World Reacts To Alleged Backstage Altercation At AEW Dynamite AEW

With news breaking of an alleged backstage altercation at AEW Dynamite, names from around the wrestling world have reacted.

On both sides of the issue and some general dismay in the middle, the reactions are varied as wrestlers and pundits alike share their thoughts on social media.

Dave Meltzer writing:

“How does this happen in AEW? Everyone paying attention should have known to keep Sammy & Andrade apart.”

Cinta De Oro, formerly known as Sin Cara in WWE, wrote (translated via Google from Spanish):

“You know you have my full support brother @AndradeElIdolo! 😁

“People like to talk nonsense on social networks, but when it comes to sustaining their words, those in person change there. 👊🏽

“Never lower your head that you have many people who admire you and love you. 🙏🏽”

Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara’s real life wife, tweeted – notably during the ‘face’ women’s entrances on AEW Dynamite – a string of laughing crying face emojis, so it’s unclear whether this was an in-character reaction to the show, or a legitimate reaction to the situation with her husband.

The altercation resulted in Andrade El Idolo being sent home from the show, but Guevara was not as he remained in attendance for his announced main event tag match as he and Chris Jericho take on Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia.

Andrade’s match against Pres10 Vance for this coming Friday’s Rampage has been cancelled.

There remains no official comment from AEW or Tony Khan regarding the alleged altercation.
