WWE has now taken to its official website to announce the release of Ric Flair after reports emerged yesterday that he had been let go.
WWE writes:
We have come to terms on the release of Ric Flair as of today, 8/03/2021.
There was no wishing him well in his future endeavours. Savage.
It’s been reported that Flair was unhappy with the booking of his daughter Charlotte and voiced this to Vince McMahon, who then decided to release him.
It is known that Flair and AEW President Tony Khan are very good friends so there’s definitely a pretty good chance he could head over to AEW in some capacity.
