More details have emerged on the reportedly low backstage morale following last weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble event.

PWInsider previously reported that many wrestlers within the locker-room had grown frustrated with the many changes made to the January 29 30-competitor matches.

Fightful Select (subscription required), recently spoke with a range of WWE talents, including consistent main-eventers, veterans and rising stars, about the decreasing morale levels.

It was reportedly confirmed that the Royal Rumble was a major point of frustration, with talents finding issues with how the match was produced, including the lack of capitalisation on angles set up before the event.

Per the report, more than six main roster stars pointed to issues with continuity, with several names reportedly feeling that they have no voice, and are have to use social media to be heard.

One individual reportedly noted that their attempts to speak with Vince McMahon are often ignored, and that they’ve never felt ‘less heard.’ Discussing fan criticisms of WWE storytelling, another talent reportedly noted “if you see a complaint with merit and in good faith about something that lacks sense, logic or continuity, I almost guarantee we have complained too, it just never changes anything.”

Several of the stars reportedly stated that they believe WWE will eventually sell.
