A backstage pitch for an absent WWE star to join Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits’ faction on SmackDown has been revealed.
While former NXT star Odyssey Jones has been a member of the Raw roster since getting called up in the 2023 WWE Draft, Jones has yet to wrestle for his home brand.
Jones hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since April, with the exception of September’s Superstar Spectacle 2023 show which only aired in India.
Per Fightful Select, at one point there was a pitch for Odyssey Jones to join Bobby Lashley, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford’s faction.
While we haven’t seen Jones onscreen, Jones has been on the road with WWE.
He most recently wrestled on the December 3 house show in Delaware, teaming with Cameron Grimes in a losing effort against ‘A-Town Down Under’ Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
Odyssey last wrestled at a WWE TV taping on August 25, when he faced Cameron Grimes in a dark match ahead of that night’s edition of SmackDown.
Updates have also emerged on other absent WWE stars, which you can read more about right here.
