WWE officials have made the decision to postpone their Smackdown live event that was previously scheduled for Monday 27th May.
PWInsider‘s Mike Johnson is reporting that the decision was made by the company on Thursday afternoon for Monday’s live event at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina, Kansas to be rescheduled. The event will now take place in five months on October 26th.
The venue released the following announcement revealing the unfortunate news:
A professional wrestling event which was scheduled for Monday in Salina has been postponed, and rescheduled for later this fall.
WWE SmackDown Live at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 26th.
All tickets purchased for the Salina, KS live event will be honored on Saturday October 26th. Fans that cannot attend the rescheduled date should go to their point of purchase for refunds
This will be the third time in four weeks where WWE has decided to either postpone or cancel their Smackdown house show on a Monday in order to ensure their top stars from the blue brand to appear on Raw per the Wild Card Rule. Last week’s Smackdown live event in Massachusetts was cancelled, allowing Smackdown stars Roman Reigns, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston and Lars Sullivan to appear on the show.
