A WWE Hall of Famer has expressed his thoughts on a current WWE star, calling them “the right kind of athlete.”
Speaking on the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, Brian “Road Dogg” James discussed the strengths of Chad Gable, currently teamed with Otis as Alpha Academy.
Talking about the pairing and what they bring to the screen, James said:
“He’s an entertaining dude, and he’s got some character, and him and Otis — they’re fun.
“I feel the same way about them as I do about Dolph. When they come out, I know I am going to be entertained with a great wrestling match.
“Otis is going to make some faces that are going to make me laugh. He’s going to blow up and fall down on somebody … it’s fun to watch those guys.”
He would then turn his attention specifically to Gable, a former amateur wrestler who competed at the 2012 Olympic Games, adding:
“We haven’t seen what’s best in him yet.
“He’s the right human being. He’s the right kind of athlete. He’s a role model.
“I can’t speak the guy’s praises and sing his praises from the mountaintop enough.
“He is just that kind of dude.”
Gable had recently discussed his position in WWE, particularly since Triple H took over, saying that the WWE Chief Content Officer values him as some “he can depend on when he needs a quality match.”
Gable signed with WWE in 2013 and has been a two-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champion (with Bobby Roode and Otis), a WWE Smackdown and NXT Tag Team Champion (both with Jason Jordan).
