WWE Confirms Matches Changed Due To Injury WWE

WWE has confirmed changes to upcoming Elimination Chamber qualifying matches set for tomorrow night’s edition of SmackDown (February 16).

After Shotzi was injured during a match being taped for the upcoming episode of WWE NXT, changes had to be made elsewhere as well.

Since Shotzi was set to face off in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton, she needed to be replaced.

However instead of a simple replacement, WWE actually elected to shuffle the two qualifying matches, pitting new opponents against one another.

Tomorrow night’s episode of SmackDown will now be set to feature Zelina Vega taking on Tiffany Stratton and Naomi taking on Alba Fyre – originally, it was to be Vega vs Naomi, and Stratton vs Shotzi.

It has been previously reported that both Stratton and Naomi were planned to qualify and participate in the Elimination Chamber match.

Elsewhere set for WWE SmackDown, the return of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

With Paul Heyman warning Triple H on last week’s episode that Heyman would be returning to SmackDown on February 16 with both the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and The Rock, it seems we will discover more about their road to WrestleMania story.

There will also be men’s Elimination Chamber qualifying matches between Logan Paul and The Miz, and Kevin Owens vs Dominik Mysterio.
