WWE Confirms Three WrestleMania 35 Kickoff Matches

As of last night, the three matches that will take place on the WrestleMania 35 Kickoff show have now been revealed.

As promoted on WWE TV, the three matches are as follows:

Sixth Annual André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Colin Jost vs. Michael Che vs. Braun Strowman vs. Andrade vs. Apollo Crews vs. Titus O’Neil vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Jinder Mahal vs. No Way Jose vs. Bobby Roode vs. Chad Gable vs. Kalisto vs. Gran Metalik vs. Lince Dorado vs. Bo Dallas vs. Curtis Axel vs. Heath Slater vs. Rhyno vs. Viktor vs. Konnor vs. Ali vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Luke Gallows vs. Karl Anderson vs. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Otis vs. Tucker vs. EC3 vs. TBA

Second Annual WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

Asuka vs. Carmella vs. Naomi vs. Lana vs. Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville vs. Nikki Cross vs. Dana Brooke vs. Ruby Riott vs. Liv Morgan vs. Sarah Logan vs. Mickie James vs. Zelina Vega vs. TBA

WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Tony Nese

With the two Battle Royals simply existing to get everyone on the card, it makes perfect sense for them to get the bump.

Sadly, however, the Cruiserweight title match between Murphy and Nese has months of build woven into it. Both competitors are some of the best the company has ever had. Seeing them relegated to the pre-show is crushing, especially after Murphy, in particular, has stolen every pay-per-view he has been a part of.

It also proves that, despite the cruiserweight division being on fire for the past year, they are still an afterthought in Vince McMahon’s mind.

Maybe next year, aye lads?
