It was reported yesterday afternoon that the script for last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw had been torn up, and the show was being rewritten. You can read more about that by clicking here.
We already know that a major angle involving WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, which was supposed to set up a big SummerSlam feud, was scrapped and taken off the show.
The Performance Center was believed to be rather hectic last night, and Ringside News is reporting that members of the creative team were just trying to pitch ideas that would “appease Vince” McMahon.
Here’s what the site had to say on the matter:
“Ringside News was told by a creative team member who is currently at the Performance Center that they are re-writing a ton of things because Superstars are not there. We were also told “there’s also a lot of second guessing going on” and “no one is confident in any vision” as they are all “just looking to see what Vince doesn’t reject and then scrambling to appease Vince.”
Following on from this, Ringside News founder Steve Carrier tweeted the following regarding the news:
“Holy hell it MUST be Monday. A lot to tweet, but a full quote will be in the exclusive going out soon on RSN. WWE creative is SCRAMBLING to just make Vince happy with a script. Tons of stress. Second-guessing everything & “no one is confident in any creative vision” for #WWERAW”
On next week’s show, we are going to see Drew McIntyre defend his WWE Championship and Asuka put her Raw Women’s Championship on the line against Sasha Banks.
