Clarification On WWE Star Potentially Switching Factions

Clarification On WWE Star Potentially Switching Factions WWE

Clarification has emerged on Dominik Mysterio’s WWE status following his appearance on Friday’s edition of SmackDown.

Following Santos Escobar betraying and attacking Rey Mysterio in November 2023, the two stars finally faced off in singles action on the March 22 SmackDown episode.

Escober ultimately got the win, following interference from Dominik Mysterio.

While Rey Mysterio previously feuded with his son, fans didn’t expect to see Dominik during this match as not only is he a Raw star, he’s aligned with a completely different faction, the Judgment Day.

In a WWE Digital Exclusive interview, Santos Escobar confirmed that Dominik Mysterio is NOT a new member of Legado Del Fantasma.

Discussing their partnership, Escobar said:

“The stipulation was no LDF, and no LWO. Last time I checked, ‘Dirty Dom’ is Judgment Day. He’s not Legado Del Fantasma, he’s not LWO. But the one thing we have in common is that we both hate Rey Mysterio.”

Dominik Mysterio has been affiliated with the Judgment Day since September 2022, when he turned on Rey Mysterio and Edge (Adam Copeland) at WWE Clash At The Castle.

Dominik and Rey faced off at WrestleMania 39 in 2023, with Rey Mysterio ultimately scoring a victory over his son.

This segment has fuelled speculation about a rumored match that could be added to WrestleMania 40.
