WWE fans were left in a state of shock following the return of Brock Lesnar at Hell in a Cell and the subsequent flat ending to the main even between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
Following a Lesnar beat down on both Reigns and Strowman, and special guest referee Mick Foley being taken out by Paul Heyman’s pepper spray, a second referee ruled the match a no contest.
Fans were left understandably confused. Given that Hell in a Cell matches are supposed to be no disqualification, this finish made no sense whatsoever.
Thankfully, WWE fans tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves, and were quick to voice their opinion on the matter.
Lame ending. Crowd booing the quick end and chanting “this is bulls**t” #wwe #hellinacell #hiac #romanreigns #brocklesner #braunstrowman @WWE @WrestlingSheet @prowresting pic.twitter.com/O9Wp4T9ZOP

The above video, taken by a member of the crowd, clearly illustrates the general feeling within the audience.
I think they’re shouting “this is rather poor”, but my hearing has got worse and worse over the years. You can’t really blame them, it was a real dud of a finish.
It’s fair to assume that it will set up some sort of triple threat between the trio, either at Super Showdown or when WWE head back to Saudi Arabia in November.
