WWE needed all hands on deck in Saudi Arabia for their first-ever 50-man Royal Rumble match this past Friday. From their usual roster to returning legends to random sumo wrestlers, WWE clearly pulled no punches for this epic show. This makes it all the stranger that Dolph Ziggler’s new BFF Drew McIntyre failed to make an appearance. The reason for his absence, however, is seemingly quite simple.
According to PWInsider, Drew McIntyre wasn’t booked for the event because he couldn’t sort his Visa out in time. This makes sense, considering Drew has only recently gotten over an injury which kept him out of WWE for over three months.
With all the controversy surrounding the Greatest Royal Rumble event, it’s relieving to see that there was not a larger issue at play here and we can all move on.
