Logan Paul faces Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5, 2022.
A match that already has already attracted a lot of attention thanks to the strength of the Logan Paul name, now a WWE Hall of Famer has given his opinion of this marquee match.
Speaking on his My Way podcast, Jeff Jarrett took a broad approach to the importance of the Paul name to WWE, saying:
“The audience, in general, whether it’s my 16-year-old son or daughter or whoever it may be, they’re consuming their content on their phones. YouTube. Twitter… That’s what the Paul brothers [have mastered.] They weren’t on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ or ‘The Voice’ or some kind of athletic [show.] They got over on social media, and now they’re bringing that to a televised product.”
Looking towards the match in Saudi Arabia, Jarrett predicted:
“The Paul kid becoming champion, I think would work, in every kind of way. Do I think they’re going to do it? No. I just don’t think they’ll switch the title in Saudi [Arabia.] But look, online audiences are talking about it.”
Despite being a confident presence on social media, Paul recently said that he finds the mic work to be the most difficult aspect of life in WWE.
With Logan Paul having appeared at WrestleMania 38 where he teamed with The Miz to take on Rey & Dominik Mysterio, Jarrett looked ahead to the next WrestleMania, saying:
“The Paul brothers, they just dominate the conversation and I’m curious. I don’t think they’ll switch it [the title at Crown Jewel] but where does Logan fit in the WrestleMania picture? That’s going to be interesting.”
With the upcoming match unlikely to be Logan Paul’s last appearance in WWE and suggestions that Jake Paul may join the company, too, there’s plenty of opportunity for WWE to capitalise on all of the upsides that Jarrett sees in the brothers.
