A multi-generational WWE star has made his television in-ring debut tonight as he took on a recently returned star.
Brogan Finlay, real life son of WWE legend Fit Finlay, made his USA Network debut on tonight’s NXT Roadblock show.
Finlay worked the match under the name Uriah Connors, and picked up a loss in a quick bout against the recently returned Shawn Spears.
Connors has updated his social media to reflect his new name, so this does look to be his permanent WWE ring name going forward.
While this was his TV debut, he did work a match at an untelevised NXT live event in mid-February against Charlie Dempsey, the son of William Regal.
Shawn Spears was previously released from WWE in 2019 but shortly thereafter signed with the at-the-time recently formed AEW.
Shawn Spears recently departed AEW and made his NXT return on last week after several weeks of mysterious vignettes harkening the arrival of a mysterious figure.
After the match, Spears cut in-ring promo and subsequently was confronted by the man he attacked on last week’s show, Ridge Holland, as the pair brawled and their feud continues.
