WWE Name Change Mistake Confirmed

WWE Name Change Mistake Confirmed WWE

Clarification has emerged regarding a recent WWE name change and a bit of confusion that ended up surrounding it.

This past week, several female WWE Performance Center talents received their ring names, meaning they’re likely to officially debut at some point soon.

Those names were Jazmyn Nyx (Jade Gentile), Lainey Reid (TyLynn Register), Carlee Bright (Kennedy Cummins), Wren Sinclair (Madi Wrenkowski), and Zena Sterling (Olena Sadovska).

Wren Sinclair debuted in the battle royal on NXT TV this past Tuesday, but another of those names that has already had an outing with their new name is Carlee Bright.

Bright worked a match prior to NXT against Jacy Jayne which was taped to air on tonight’s January 19 episode of Level Up.

However, WWE’s official preview of the match led to some question marks as Bright was listed as Karlee, not Carlee.

This obviously meant one of two things – the name had been changed from a C to a K for some reason, or, it was just a mistake.

A day later, WWE has updated the preview and she’s now listed as Carlee Bright, confirming it was just an error and the C is the correct official spelling.

In addition to Bright vs Jayne, also set for tonight’s Level Up is Brooks Jensen vs SCRYPTS, as well as Hank Walker and Tank Ledger taking on two members of the No Quarter Catch Crew in a tag team match.

Level Up airs after SmackDown every Friday on Peacock/WWE Network.
