In the middle of a WWE championship match, a second challenger appeared and cashed in a contract to be added to the title bout.
While tonight’s WWE NXT Vengeance Day was always set to host an NXT Women’s Championship match, it surprisingly became a three-way mid-match.
The match began as planned, seeing champ Lyra Valkyria defending the title against Roxanne Perez.
However after Perez hit her big Pop Rox finisher and was on the verge of getting a pin, instead the match was promptly derailed.
Out ran Lola Vice with a referee, signaling that she was poised to cash in her title shot right now to join the match.
After Lola Vice cashed in her NXT Breakouts Tournament winner’s contract for a title shot anywhere and anytime, she joined the NXT Women’s Championship match.
The trio would then go on to have a further battle but in the end, it was the champion who was able to come out on top.
Amidst the pandemonium, including interference from Tatum Paxley, it was a retention for Lyra Valkyria after she was able to capture the pinfall victory over Lola Vice.
