An injured WWE star who recently returned to TV has addressed her timeline for an in-ring return in a new post on social media revealing that she is only set for a return to action in 2024.
Despite being currently on the injured shelf since suffering a torn ACL in May, Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai has spent the past near-three months back on TV since IYO SKY became WWE Women’s Champion at SummerSlam on August 5.
This has been a welcome surprise, especially considering the extent of Kai’s injury and initial projected return timeline.
Despite being back by SKY and Bayley’s side, Kai has of course been limited in what she can do, with her wisely not being put in any physical altercations just yet.
However, while Kai’s on-screen presence is definitely welcomed, fans naturally are wondering whether her return means she may be ahead of schedule for a return to the ring.
And in a new post to Instagram (see below), Kai answered that question, reiterating that she will remain on the outside looking in until she is fully healed in 2024.
Kai said:
While my girls are on tour, imma cheer them on from afar until I’m cleared and ready in 2024
We at WrestleTalk continue to wish Kai well in her ongoing recovery.
