Petey Williams has joined WWE as a full-time WWE backstage producer, according to Fightful Select (subscription required).
The report noted that WWE sources indicated that Williams’ full-time contract was offered, and completed, by WWE this week. Several WWE talents have reportedly spoke highly of Williams’ work as a producer.
Williams began his producer tryout with WWE in the latter half or 2021. In November, reports stated that WWE was attempting to fast-track Williams into the WWE producer system, shadowing a number of top backstage names, including Michael Hayes.
The former IMPACT talent has co-produced a number of notable matches in recent months, including the Universal Championship #1 contenders battle royal on the November 26 edition of SmackDown.
On Wednesday (January 5), WWE released numerous Performance Center names , including Road Dogg and William Regal.
