WWE Confirms First Round Raw Matches For King And Queen Of The Ring 2024 WWE

During WWE Backlash, the first round of matches coming up for WWE Raw in the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments were confirmed.

Featuring some of WWE Raw’s biggest stars, the first set of matches announced for both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments sound enticing to say the least!

In the Men’s side of the tournament, the first round matches announced for Raw for the King of the Ring Tournament were:

– Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor

– Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio

– Ricochet vs. Ilja Dragunov

– GUNTHER vs. Sheamus

In the Women’s side of the tournament, the first round matches are set to feature the following Raw stars:

– Zoey Stark vs. Ivy Nile

– Shayna Baszler vs. Zelina Vega

– Lyra Valkyria vs. Asuka

– IYO SKY vs. Natalya

Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE Backlash, there were four title matches whereby all but one were retained.

With Bayley, Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest all retaining their respective championships during the show, WWE has a new pair of Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair bested the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) to pick up a pair of firsts.

Not only did the win mark Belair’s first time holding tag team gold in WWE, it was also Jade Cargill’s first title victory since joining the company.

The culmination of the King and the Queen of the Ring tournaments is set for the upcoming premium live event of the same name from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday May 25, 2024.
