Despite not having worked for WWE for several months, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt has some brand new merchandise on WWEshop.com.
Wyatt, who know goes by his real name Windham, was released in June, and his 90-day non-compete clause expired on October 29.
As you can see from the below screenshots from WWE’s online shop, WWE still owns the merchandising copyright for The Fiend, and will seemingly continue to make money out of it, even if the man who created the character is gone.
Windham is yet to announce a return to wrestling but has been booked for WrestleCon 2022, which takes place the same weekend as WrestleMania 38.
While many expected him to sign for AEW, nothing in terms of a deal has materialised. During an interview following AEW’s FUll Gear PPV, president Tony Khan said:
“I like Windham a lot. We’ll see what happens, you know, I haven’t talked to him about it ever, about him coming to AEW. The last time I saw Windham was at Chris Jericho’s birthday party. It was a pretty late night, and it was last year. So, it’s a very different world. I only briefly saw him in passing — I was heading out while he was heading in. It was a pretty late night, but I think he’s a wonderful person and a really great talent.”
