WWE SmackDown Star Returns To TV

WWE SmackDown Star Returns To TV WWE

A WWE star has returned on tonight’s WWE SmackDown after having been absent from television since SummerSlam.

Before the commercial break, Austin Theory had come out at the end of the Grayson Waller Effect featuring Bobby Lashley ahead of his match.

Without a televised entrance, Cameron Grimes was already in the ring and ready to fight when SmackDown returned from commercial break, marking his return to action.

Cameron Grimes was last seen on WWE television back at SummerSlam on August 5 where he lost in the SummerSlam Battle Royal which was eventually won by LA Knight.

At ringside to take in the happenings, Dragon Lee drew the ire of Austin Theory who was having the match against Cameron Grimes although ended up picking up the victory.

With Dragon Lee and Austin Theory having words after the match, it seemed that the NXT star was teasing another main roster match in his future.

As for Grimes, he did put in an impressive showing during the short match, drawing an audible gasp from the Sacramento crown when he did a standing backflip in the match to a carry hold on Theory.

During his absence from TV, Grimes had been working non-televised dark matches.
