A popular WWE main roster star made a surprise appearance at tonight’s NXT New Years Evil special episode of NXT.
On last week’s episode of NXT, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde of the LWO made a surprise appearance on NXT, aiding NXT North American Champion Dragon Lee against the No Quarter Catch Crew.
However, last night, Dragon Lee took to Twitter to announce that he was stuck in Mexico due to Visa issues, meaning he would not be able to make the planned six-man tag team match on the show.
Dragon Lee teased a surprise replacement to team with Wilde and Del Toro against Drew Gulak, Damon Kemp and Myles Borne on the show, which ended up being fellow LWO member Carlito.
Carlito would end up aiding his stablemates, allowing Cruz to pin Damon Kemp to win the match for the LWO.
Charlie Dempsey of the No Quarter Catch Crew was absent on the show due to being in Japan, with him set to compete for AJPW’s Triple Crown Championship tomorrow.
Dragon Lee’s Visa issues are not believed to be major, with him expected back as soon as this week’s SmackDown show.
