A WWE star has now officially made their debut under their brand new ring name in a match that will air later this week.
As we’ve covered on the site already, WWE has recently filed trademarks for the names Trey Bearhill, Kiyah Saint, Tyriek Igwe, Izzi Dame, Tyson Dupont and Karmen Petrovic.
These names are expected to be given to NXT trainees who haven’t made their TV debuts yet, with the only two confirmed so far being Karmen Petrovic as the new name for Monika Klisara, and Izzi Dame being the new name for Franki Strefling.
We suggested in our earlier stories that it was likely they’d be showing up on our screens soon now that they’ve been re-Christened with their WWE monikers, and in the case of Izzi Dame, that’s exactly what has happened.
Dame worked last night’s NXT Level Up taping before NXT TV began in a match against Dani Palmer.
Dame, again whose real name is Franki Strefling, signed with WWE last year with a background in volleyball.
She has worked NXT house show matches under her real name, but this will be her first match properly on camera.
Her match against Dani Palmer will air on this Friday’s July 20 episode of Level Up on the WWE Network along with Quincy Elliott & Ikemen Jiro vs Hank Walker & Tank Ledger, and Dante Chen vs Javier Bernal.
