A WWE star was mysteriously absent from last night’s Raw show (November 6).
On last night’s episode of Raw, a new number one contender for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship was set to be crowned.
The match between Ricochet, The Miz, Ivar and Bronson Reed was intermittently interrupted by shots of Gunther watching the match backstage, with no other members of Imperium alongside him.
However, one other member of Imperium did appear on the show, when Ludwig Kaiser appeared during DIY’s tag team match with the Creed Brothers, costing Gargano and Ciampa the match.
Kaiser appeared in the match, but he did not appear alongside Giovanni Vinci on the show, nor did Vinci appear in a backstage interview alongside Gunther and Kaiser on Raw Talk after the show.
On top of Vinci’s absence from Raw, PWInsider notes that a match taped for Main Event was originally set to be Vinci taking on Apollo Crews, but it was later changed to Kaiser taking on Apollo instead.
The reason for Vinci’s absence from the show is not currently known.
