Injured star and former WWE Champion Sheamus has fired back on fan criticism towards “5 star matches” on social media.
Sheamus has been absent from WWE programming since August 2023 when he faced Edge in his final match with the company. Many fans have been wondering when “The Celtic Warrior” will make his return to in-ring action.
On February 20, Sheamus took to social media to ask fans if they are missing those “5-star banger matches” he was known for. He wrote:
ANYONE missing 5 star banger matches? #MOTY2021 #MOTY2022 #MOTY2023
After a fan replied to say he prefers characters and stories, Sheamus replied:
watch a soap opera then
It remains to be seen when Sheamus will make his return to WWE TV at the time of this writing.
