WWE is exhuming former WCW supercard Starrcade for the second year running on November 24.
WWE brought the show back from the dead for a special house show event last year in Greensboro, North Carolina.
This year’s event will take place at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. It marks the first time a Starrcade event has ever taken place in the state.
The plan to bring back Starrcade has been in the works for several months, with WWE having trademarked the name in July.
WWE has already announced several matches for the special event, which will be a dual brand presentation:
Steel Cage Match
WWE Championship
AJ Styles (c) vs. Samoa JoeSteel Cage Match
WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte FlairWWE United States Championship
Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. RusevWWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship
New Day (c) vs. The BarCincinnati Street Fight
The Shield vs. Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyreElias live in concert feat. Ric Flair
Like last year, the card will feature two steel cage matches. Presumably someone in WWE associates Starrcade with cage bouts due to them headlining the 1983, 1985 (from Greensboro) 1987 and 1990 events.
As of now Starrcade is not scheduled to air on the WWE Network, so the only way to see it will be live and in person. Tickets go on sale for the event on September 21 and are priced from $28 upwards.
