WWE Star’s Mom Didn’t Want Her To Be A Wrestler Because It’s ‘Not What Girls Do’

A WWE star has revealed that her mother was very much against the idea of her becoming a pro-wrestler because it’s “not what girls do”.

Sasha Banks, who is currently the SmackDown Women’s Champion, spoke about her mom’s reaction to her wanting to be a wrestler on the Normal Not Normal podcast.

Banks said:

“I told my mom right away. I was like, I think I want to do this. And she was being so dramatic. Like, my mom always says, ‘Oh my god, what did I do? Why? Why would you do this? This is insane. Why would you like something like this? This is not what girls do.’ And I was like, I don’t care what you tell me, I’m gonna do it.”

There’s no doubt that Banks made the right decision, as she constantly proves she’s one of the best wrestlers in the business, and her star power is constantly growing with more mainstream opportunities making their way to her.

It’s looking like she’ll be defending her title against Carmella at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this Sunday.
