WWE Legend Bringing Back Popular Podcast? WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has often had outside projects since his first retirement from WWE in 2003, from movies to TV shows, and even his own beer.

However, perhaps his most popular venture was his Steve Austin Show Podcast, which started in 2013 and ran until Austin started the Broken Skull Sessions on the WWE Network in 2019.

While the WWE produced program factored into Austin deciding to ditch the podcast, he has recently hinted at potentially bring back the Steve Austin Show, albeit with a different direction from its original incarnation.

Speaking to WrestleRant, Austin would discuss the idea of bringing the show back with a new angle.

Austin said:

“I have been thinking about kicking it back up.

“I stopped a couple of years ago when COVID hit.

“Every now and then, I am inspired just to strike it back up, but I want it to be more about what I’m doing in my life, rather than it being guest-driven.

“You’ve obviously got to do a lot of research if you want to show respect to the guests. You can’t (short) change them.

“So, If I can just do it at a BS level and tell a few stories, and if that’s enough to rope people in…

“I might just do it because it’ll give me something to do.”

The original format of the Steve Austin show was similar to other podcasts such as Talk is Jericho, with Austin often bringing on a new guest for each show ranging from wrestlers such as Brock Lesnar and Bret Hart to recording artists such as Post Malone.

While Austin would be absent from WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood, a current star he was rumored to face at the event has been the subject of very high praise from the Texas Rattlesnake, you can read his comments here.
