Report: ‘Bubbling Paranoia’ Among WWE Talent Following Vince McMahon Return CNBC

When Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque took over WWE creative back in July 2022, he rehired many former WWE stars who had previously left the company.

Many of those returns have yet to find firm footing on the main roster, while some have been featured in key roles over the past few months.

With Vince McMahon now back in power in the company, and with the recent sale to Endeavor, many believe that it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing more cuts.

WWE CEO Nick Khan previously mentioned that WWE would be ‘going hard’ on cutting costs following the merger, though that was mostly in reference to office staff, but the talent in the company is also getting concerned.

Per PWInsider Elite (via Cultaholic), there has reportedly been slight ‘bubbling paranoia’ among talents in the past few weeks, mainly talents that Triple H brought back to the company last year who aren’t currently in any major mix or getting pushes.

The talent is fearful that since Vince has returned, they are being relegated to the undercard, and could be some of the first out if and when it comes time for more releases.

Sources in WWE creative told PWInsider that there has been no such edicts, but that hasn’t stopped talents being concerned.

The old feeling of talents ‘walking on eggshells’ has slowly picked back up since McMahon’s return to the fold.
