Former WWE Star Fired At ‘Worst Possible Time’ Doubts A Return

Former WWE Star Fired At ‘Worst Possible Time’ Doubts A Return WWE

A former WWE star has spoken about being “fired at the worst time in human history” and doubts she would return to the company.

Taya Valkyrie signed with WWE in February 2021 where she would perform as Franky Monet until her eventual release in November of the same year.

Already a successful independent wrestler, she would return to the scene performing for AAA and IMPACT Wrestling.

Recently, in a K&S WrestleFest singing, Valkyrie was asked about her thoughts on a return to WWE and would respond by saying:

“I don’t know. I don’t if I would want to go back. I was fired at the worst time in human history, unfortunately.”

Valkyrie’s release from WWE came in November 2021 as part of COVID-19 related measures that saw a number of wrestlers and other staff laid off from the company.

Speaking further on the subject, Taya stated:

“I worked very hard to get there and I continued to prove myself over and over again, especially this last year.

“I don’t know. I’m in a good place, I’m working everywhere, making lots of money, being happy, mentally and physically good. Who knows.”

She did however, point out “I’m here, hey” when asked if she would consider joining AEW and would later clarify this by saying:

“Who knows. Especially the last few years (wrestling has been unpredictable), you never know.”

Since her return to IMPACT Wrestling, Valkyrie has become one third of the Death Dollz, teaming with Jessick and Rosemary.

They are the reigning IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champions.
