Absent WWE Star Makes Public Appearance Ahead Of In-Ring Return WWE

WWE star Rey Mysterio made an appearance at the UFC Fight Night in Mexico City event this weekend, amid speculation about his WWE return.

The WWE Hall of Famer was shown in the crowd during Saturday’s (February 24) show, where he was billed as Rey Mysterio, WWE Superstar.

Mysterio received a big cheer from fans in attendance, which you can hear in the video clip below.

Rey Mysterio hasn’t wrestled since losing his US Championship to Logan Paul at the November 2023 Crown Jewel premium live event.

He was written off WWE TV during the November 10, 2023 edition of SmackDown, with Santos Escobar attacking him and leaving the LWO.

A recent report has indicated that Mysterio is close to being ready for a return, with the wrestling veteran expected to be back in a few weeks.

More details on this report are available right here.

Rey’s son Dominik Mysterio has been appearing regularly on WWE TV as part of the Judgment Day faction.

The group had a good night at Elimination Chamber 2024, with Damian Priest and Finn Balor successfully defending their WWE Tag Team Championship and Rhea Ripley headlining the premium live event in her home country against Nia Jax.

Dominik Mysterio has now sent a heartfelt message to Rhea Ripley, which you can read more about right here.

WWE and UFC both operate under the parent company TKO Group, which is owned by Endeavor.

More details have also emerged on a recent WWE and UFC crossover segment, with a last-minute decision surrounding the segment revealed.
