More information has been revealed about a ‘life-altering’ spinal surgery that Vince McMahon had, without some in WWE knowing about it.
Earlier it was reported that Vince had undergone surgery and that the procedure had lasted just under five hours.
Now more details have emerged via Fightful Select, with a source noting that the surgery was a ‘life-altering’ one, as it would be for anyone who had the procedure done, and it took place last week.
Interestingly, WWE talent that spoke to Fightful noted that they had no clue that Vince McMahon was having spinal surgery either, with them reportedly finding out when the news broke earlier today.
The surgery prevented McMahon from working on SmackDown or Raw after it happened.
Paul Levesque (Triple H) was also not at WWE Raw this past Monday, instead the show was run by Bruce Prichard.
Triple H is expected back ‘imminently’ however there was no concrete response regarding when Vince McMahon would be expected to resume working.
Other than the special occasions of the Raw after WrestleMania, Raw in Hartford and SmackDown at Madison Square Garden, McMahon has been working remotely.
However, he’s still an influence on WWE creative directions, especially recently, with his most recent move being the introduction of the new alliterative nicknames like ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio and ‘Big’ Bronson Reed.
