‘Happy Competition’ Between Married WWE Stars Over WrestleMania

‘Happy Competition’ Between Married WWE Stars Over WrestleMania WWE

There’s a ‘happy competition’ going on between Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch over their respective roles at WrestleMania.

With Rollins currently holding the World Heavyweight Championship and Lynch aiming to challenge for Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship, you could make cases for both stars headlining WrestleMania 40 Saturday.

Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show green carpet, Lynch went into detail about their household rivalry, with both stars wanting the main event spot.

Lynch said:

“I think it’s a happy competition. At the end of the day, the best person is going to win, but there is nobody that has worked harder for the last 12 years for this company, who has taken a lot and put it all on his back and constantly done it with a great attitude and given his all.

“To be able to watch him main event WrestleMania would be incredible. To be able to watch me main event WrestleMania again would also be incredible because there is no other woman that has done what I have done for the last decade for this company and putting it on my back.

“We’re a hell of a family. Roux has got some cool parents.”

It can be argued that both stars have headlined WrestleMania, with Becky Lynch winning the Raw and SmackDown women’s titles at WrestleMania 35, and Rollins cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 31, which you can watch below.

Rollins has never main evented WrestleMania in an advertised match, and has mader it clear that his goal is to defend his World Heavyweight Title in the top spot at this year’s show.

During the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show, Lynch confronted Rhea Ripley and set her sights on the WWE Women’s World Championship.

Lynch will be at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 24 in a Number 1 Contender’s match to face Ripley at WrestleMania 40.

Of the upcoming match, Lynch has said she wants to make her daughter proud.
