Xavier Woods has confirmed that he will be using the ‘Backwoods’ as his new finisher, noting that he has officially added it to his repertoire.
On Friday’s (April 8) episode of SmackDown, Woods defeated Butch with a roll-up pin, that commentator Pat McAfee called the Backwoods.
The 2021 King of the Ring winner has stated that he intends to win more matches with the Backwoods, tweeting:
Yes. I officially have officially added a new finishing maneuver to my repertoire. The small package is no more. The era of the BACKWOODS has begun. Everybody bout to get rolled up….
Woods has won a number of matches with a roll-up pin in the past, notably defeating WWE Champion Bobby Lashley with the move in non-title action on the July 12, 2021 edition of WWE Raw.
The New Day star has also shared a compilation video of some of his Backwoods victories on Twitter, writing:
There’s literally always a plan in place. Beware of the most devastating move in sports entertainment. Beware of the #Backwoods
