Being the Elite returned from hiatus today with an episode entitled “Tick Tock”.
The episode featured a ticking sound that only Matt Jackson could hear throughout the show, which culminated with the reveal of a countdown clock with two months, thirty days, thirteen hours, one minute and seventeen seconds remaining.
Some quick math will tell you that the clock will likely expire at midnight on New Years Eve, which is reportedly when his contract expires.
It is worth noting that all of the Bullet Club’s contracts are expected to expire in early January, and while is it suspected that they will stay away from WWE nothing has been confirmed. Another possibility is the announcement of All In 2.
Cody has been teasing the idea of a sequel to the wildly successful ALL IN lately, including a line in Being the Elite where he leaves to go gamble saying he’s “going double or nothing”.
Being the Elite also featured a tease relating to Hangman Page. Page received a package containing his famous boots and a note from someone simply going by “H”.
The note said “Nice try. If you want to be an assassin try being more cerebral”. This would appear to be a nod towards Triple H who has gone by the nickname ‘The Cerebral Assassin’ during his career.
This is the first episode of Being the Elite since the post-All In episode was released three weeks ago. It appears the show will resume its weekly schedule following its brief hiatus.
