Young Rock is currently not listed on NBC’s fall programming schedule.
Young Rock is a NBC series centered on the life and career of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The show stars Johnson, Joseph Lee Anderson, Stacey Leilua, Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, Uli Latukefu, Ana Tuisila, Fasitua Amosa, and John Tui.
The actors and actresses portray his parents, Rocky Johnson and Ata Maivia, his grandparents, Roman Reigns, other family members and several wrestlers.
The first season focused on Johnson’s upbringing and time in college playing football for the University of Miami Hurricanes. The second season covered his journey into becoming a wrestler and joining the WWE, while the third season covered the rise of his WWE career.
The third season premiered in November 2022 with 13 episodes that ended in February of this year. However, no word was given on whether the show would be renewed for a fourth season, per Deadline.
NBC recently released its schedule, which ranges from fall and midseason, with American Auto, Grand Crew and Young Rock not listed.
When asked about the reasoning for the shows not appearing on the schedule, the network said “decisions are yet to be made” on the three programs. However, it’s not a good sign the show hasn’t been renewed with NBC planning that far in advance with other shows.
NBC has yet to make decisions about three of its comedies. American Auto, Grand Crew and Young Rock all remain on the bubble after the network unveiled its fall schedule with these three shows absent from fall and midseason https://t.co/NALLJV7vRQ
