Zack Ryder Gives Huge Hint Over Future With Cody Tweet

Zack Ryder may be the man with the biggest smile in WWE, but in terms of in-ring performances, he hasn’t had all that much to smile about of late.

Pretty much only ever appearing on the odd episode of Main Event in matches with other forgotten men, Ryder seems to have gone past a time when WWE could have considered him any sort of midcard or main event player.

Ryder’s girlfriend Chelsea Green has recently signed a contract with WWE’s developmental promotion NXT, but it looks like Zack may be looking for a way out of a future of matches against Mojo Rawley and No Way Jose.

Replying to a tweet from Brandi Rhodes, wife Cody no longer Rhodes, Ryder said:

Now, it’s no secret that Ryder and Rhodes are friends, but with the news that Cody recently rejected an approach from WWE, Vince may not be too pleased that one of his superstars is fraternising with the enemy so closely.

With mounting speculation that Cody is looking to start a new wrestling promotion with the Young Bucks among others next year called All Elite Wrestling, could Ryder be a name they want to poach? He’s certainly earned a bit of time in the spotlight after so many Main Event appearances.
